I'm Sameer Jathar - founder of UPALIGNN.

My background is not what you'd expect from someone in marketing.

I graduated in Computer Science in 2010. Spent the next few years as a network engineer - building infrastructure, diagnosing faults, figuring out why systems break and how to make them stable. That's all I did. And honestly, that way of thinking never left me.

Marketing came later - not through a course or a mentor, but by jumping in and figuring it out. Testing things. Getting some of it wrong. Understanding what actually moves a business forward versus what just looks like it does.

By 2015 I was freelancing - working with real businesses, real money on the line, real pressure to deliver results. Not theory. The actual thing.

In 2017, I built Perfenza. A brand that won a digital partnership for an international gardening expo. By 2018 it had become something I was genuinely proud of - proof that if you apply structured thinking to marketing, it works. Not sometimes. Consistently.

Then COVID hit.

Like most Indian businesses, we got pulled under. The brand couldn't sustain. Everything slowed. And I found myself back at the beginning - freelancing again, referrals, word of mouth. Some good months. Some very slow months.

No real system behind any of it.

And that's the part that sat with me. Because I knew what to do. I just didn't have a structure that did it reliably - month after month, not just when conditions were right.

I saw it in my own work. I saw it in every business I worked with. Founders doing the right things, putting in real effort — but growth staying unpredictable because the right constraint wasn’t always clear and the parts weren’t working together properly.

That's why UPALIGNN exists.

Not to add more marketing before understanding what’s actually limiting growth.

But to bring clarity, strengthen what matters, and connect the right parts into a system that works together.
